The Conococheague Creek headwaters begins in Adams County, Pennsylvania and travels southward for 80 miles to end its journey at the Potomac River near Williamsport, Maryland. 58 miles of the waterway are located in Pennsylvania, comprising nearly 73% of its total length.
The Conococheague is a beautiful and important natural resource that provides recreational opportunities such kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking and biking. It also serves as an important ecosystem that supports a wide variety of fish, waterfowl, and a diverse array of wildlife. Additionally, the watershed houses a large drinking water supply for local residents.
